| The
Orange County Convention Center was a busy place during this year’s
NBAA conference. |
The NBAA
presence was displayed proudly on the front lawn of the Orange
County Convention Center for the 2003 conference. |
Colorful
banners announced the NBAA convention’s theme, “100 Years of
Flight”. |
 |
 |
 |
| There
were more than 25,000 registered participants in the 2003 NBAA
convention and 1,000 exhibitors. EAA’s Countdown to Kitty Hawk
exhibit was made possible by Eclipse Aviation. |
EAA’s
reproduction Wright Flyer was the centerpiece of the convention,
being the first thing convention participants saw when they
entered the hall. |
Just as at other tour stops,
Microsoft’s Wright Flyer simulator cradles were a big hit among
the crowd of NBAA. |
 |
|
 |
| People
who wanted to know more about how the engine and plane were built
stopped by to watch a video of Steve Hay, one of the manufacturers
of the reproduction Flyer engine. |
Convention
participants enjoyed some leisure time in EAA’s Countdown to
Kitty Hawk exhibit while they tried out Microsoft’s Flight
Simulator 2004. |
The stage in EAA’s Countdown to Kitty Hawk exhibit hosted
presentations by such notables as Lane Wallace, west coast editor
for Flying magazine, and Amanda Wright Lane, great grand-niece of
Orville and Wilbur Wright. |
