| Dayton,
Ohio, welcomed aviation enthusiasts to its Inventing Flight Celebration in style. |
The
Wright Family gathered for a picture in front of a reproduction of
the flying machine their ancestors built. |
Senator
John Glenn, surrounded by family and friends, listened to details
about the intricacies of EAA’s 1903 Wright Flyer during his
visit to the Countdown to Kitty Hawk Pavilion. |

 |
| Marching
bands and street performers were just a few of the attractions to
be seen at Celebration Central on Deed’s Point in downtown
Dayton. |
Inventing
Flight’s logo “The Aviator” was proudly displayed across
Dayton. |
Senator John Glenn was a natural when
he “flew” the Wright Flyer on “Microsoft’s Flight
Simulator 2004: A Century of Flight”. |

Steven
Wright, great grandnephew of
Orville and Wilbur Wright, obviously inherited
some talent as he maneuvered Microsoft’s
simulator through a
modern day Kitty Hawk. |
However,
Amanda Wright Lane, great grandniece of the Wright Brothers,
probably did not inherit that same talent as she bows her head in
shame while crashing shortly after take-off. |

The
oldest man to ever be in space, Senator John Glenn stands next to
EAA’s reproduction of the first successful powered aircraft. |
